Retains an old historic surface. Two toes restored. Exhibition label on underside inscribed: The Preservation Society of Newport County takes this Method to acquaint all ladies, gentlemen & c. that this Table was exhibited at the Nicholas-Wanton-Hunter House in 1953 and was loaned at the time by Katherine Prentis Murphy.

Condition
The top was once braced underneath with three metal braces that have since been removed; the secondary wood is white pine; lacking one vertical glue block; there back side face of the rails are marked with a punched Roman numeral, I, V, VII; appears to retain all of its original knee returns; there is a 1/2 in. by 1/4 in. patch to one leg at upper-outer edge toward knee.
