Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate. Condition: This work is in good condition. There is a paint loss to the top right corner, another to the centre of the left edge, and two smaller ones towards the centre of the bottom edge. There are very thin and stable hairline cracks running parallel and close to the canvas edges on all four sides. There are a few stable networks of hairline cracks scattered to the composition. Examination under ultraviolet light shows these cracks have been stabilised, and reveals two very small areas of retouching on the left edge towards the top and bottom corners, respectively. Four further, very small areas of retouching are visible scattered along the top edge.
