Condition

Overall in very good condition. The teak frame is in very good condition, and displays minor evidence of use, including minor shallow surface scratches, nicks, dings and light abrasions. The frame has been sensitively maintained and cleaned. With a few minor areas of restoration to the frame. With one area of restoration to the proper right front armrest (6 ½ inches below the arm) approximately 1 ½ inches in length, which presently shows slightly lighter in tone. A second smaller area of restoration to the proper right portion of the front stretcher measuring one inch in length. The proper right with a minor seam separation to the lower joint which extends the depth of the armrest. One minor area of discoloration to the back stretcher at the reverse of the chair. The original leather upholstery throughout in very good condition. The leather has acquired a beautiful patina with age and show evidence of very gentle use. Both the seat, seat back and arms with minor surface crazing, consistent with age and use. None of the crazing breaks the surface of the leather. The top surface of the leather on the arms of the chair present in a slightly darker tone, which is commensurate with age and use. With minor isolated shallow surface scratches, nicks and discolorations, all of which are consistent with use. There are minor areas of restoration which have been sensitively undertaken. The seat with two areas of restoration, and the top crest of the backrail with a few minor restorations. The present example of this rare chair model presents with beautifully patinated leather and evidence of sensitive care by the prior owners. A very good example of the form.
