Condition

Overall in very good condition. The oak surfaces throughout appear to retain their original finish, showing minimal surface wear consistent with very gentle use. The surfaces with a few very light surface scratches, a few very minor abrasions and very limited edge wear (all exceedingly minor). A few of the spindles on the settle back are very slightly bowed as the result of the natural expansion and contraction of the wood over time. The top crest rail with a few very light and transparent drips marks which are only visible under close inspection (located approximately 7 inches from the proper left post). The hall bench retains its original rush seat, which is in exceptional and stable condition. The rush with some minor surface wear and abrasions. A superb example of this iconic form in pristine original condition.
