Condition
Overall in very good condition. This lamp from early 1933 is a variant with enameled metal shades with gold interiors to amplify the light emitted. The green enamel to the exterior with some minor losses and surface scratches. Some losses to the largest shade have been recently sensitively restored by a professional paint restorer. The restoration is only visible on close inspection and is executed in a very slightly different tone. The intent of the restoration was executed to gently reduce the visibility of the raw metal from the earlier losses. One restoration near the rim, which measures 3 x ½ inches in length. With restored losses at the apex of the shade adjacent to finial measuring 2 inches in the depth and extends the entire circumference. The largest losses to the paint which remain untouched are to the immediate edge of the smallest shade at the lower rim, as seen in the catalogue illustration. There are approximately seven small losses in this area, the largest measuring 1 inch in length. The middle shade with minor enamel loss less than a ¼ inch in length. The largest shade presents very slightly uneven at certain angles, which appears the result of a possible minor dent to the top of this shade. The patinated metal base with some rubbing to finish and some minor discoloration consistent with the natural aging process of the metal. Electrically stable. This is a wonderful and rare variant of the model, which remains in gently used condition and retains all the original hardware.
