Literature

David A. Hanks and Jennifer Toher, Donald Deskey:  Decorative Designs and Interiors, New York, 1987, p. vi (for a photograph of Donald Deskey seated in the chair model at Radio City Music Hall)

Condition

Overall excellent restored condition. A small group of Deskey designs from Radio City Music Hall were removed from the building during a 1980s renovation. After years of storage their original upholstery were too distressed to be saved. The present example has been restored to present the original intent of the design. The rosewood arms and trim have been refinished, and the piece has been recovered with vintage leather.
