Condition

Excellent condition. Each of the quarters is affixed by welds to the complex steel understructure, rendering the piece both functional and stable. A superb functional sculpture when viewed in person.

Catalogue Note

The "Quarter Lounge" model was included in the Second Lives exhibition at the Museum of Art and Design, New York in 2008.  Other examples of Johnny Swing's coin furniture are in the permanent collection of the Storm King Art Center, Mountainville, New York and the gardens of Chatsworth.
