Description
- Architectural Pottery
- Collection of Six Works
- glazed earthenware and wrought iron
- including designs by La Gardo Tackett, John Follis, Malcolm Leland and Rex Goode
Condition
Overall very good condition. Please contact the department or visit sothebys.com for a photograph showing the six works included on this lot. All of the pieces offered in this lot showing minor surface dirt from use. Each of the pieces were used by the owner and therefore with minor surface dirt from planting. Each with scattered surfaces scratches, surface abrasions and minor discolorations consistent with age and use. The cylindrical vessel with surface discolorations, soiling and small series of cracks beginning at the rim and extending the height of the case. With a few associated losses along the crack. The waisted vessel with cutout circles to the base with a rim chip measuring one inch in length and with losses to finish along the body of the vessel in three isolated areas. This appears like losses to a painted surface. A very nice assembled group of forms displaying the depth of the Architectural Pottery firm’s output.
