Description

  • Quezal
  • "Jack-in-the-Pulpit" Vase
  • bearing two later engraved spurious Tiffany signatures
  • glass

Provenance

New York Estate, 1975
Thence by descent to the present owner

Condition

Overall in very good condition. The bottom of the interior of the vase with some light surface soiling. The underside of the base with some minor light surface scratches and abrasion marks, and with two later engraved spurious Tiffany signatures. A very attractive example displaying exceptional decoration, color and iridescence. The vase is slightly more saturated in color and displays strong luminosity and color to the iridized exterior surfaces throughout than seen in the catalogue illustration which is slightly under saturated.
