Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The frame of the bench with some minor nicks, scratches, edge chips and dings consistent with use. The proper left side of armrest with a two inch edge losses, which appears to have occurred long ago. With approximately four minor seam separations throughout the bench which are consistent with age. The largest to the lower portion of the central decorative openwork, extending one and half inches. There is a small crack to the openwork of the backrest, as seem in the catalogue illustration. An additional age crack at the joint of the upper backrest and the armrest. The seat upholstery is likely replaced, with minor surface dirt, crazing, and rubbing. The upholstery with one tear measuring five inches in length adjacent to the back row of tacks, The upholstery of the seat with some wear, discolorations, and some looseness from age. The surface of the upholstery is slightly hard to the touch, and presently shows with some impressions in the fabric, which are visible in the catalogue illustration. In person, this piece has beautiful details in the form, and remains in very good condition.
