Condition

Overall very good condition. This piece has been sensitively cared for and the condition of the delicate materials shows that attention. The background of these two works is a vivid eggplant purple, which is much deeper in tone than appears in the catalogue illustration. The bowl with an adhesive pad to the underside, which is leaving a residue to the underside of the plate. The particular set also displays a variety of enameled flowers and line drawings of the same subject. The metal edge on the aperture of the vase, foot and the edge of the plate with some light discoloration consistent with age. Each work displays the intricate designs characteristic of Faure’s work with a great depth to the enamel work.
