comprising a canapé and four fauteuils, the tapestry backs woven with scènes gallantes and the seats with animals all in blooming floral and acanthus leaf encadrementsRestored with gold paint.

Condition

Overall in good condition for the tapestry. The frame of the chairs are sturdy, but the frame has been refinished with gold paint as opposed to gold leaf. Seams of construction to backrest are visible. The tapestries are in good condition but with the usual wear to top of armrest. The pink border surrounding the cartouche would have been originally stronger. The dye has faded from sun damage.
