Condition

STRUCTURE The sheet is sound and has been laid down. About the edges there is some frame abrasion and fading, not visible in the current mount. There is a tiny area of craquelure with two miniscule flecks of paint loss to the turquoise pigment on the neck of the central bird, visible upon extremely close inspection. Otherwise the work is in generally excellent condition with strong bright colours throughout. FRAME Held under glass in a gilt plaster frame with a gilt mount; unexamined out of frame.
