Condition

STRUCTURE The board is sound There are a few very small and minor areas of paint separation, visible to the white pigment in the water in front of the boat, to the sky upper centre, and a small area to the face of the seated figure on the right. The varnish appears to be slightly discoloured and the surface is slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean. There is some minor frame abrasion to the upper and right edges. Otherwise in good overall condition. ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT UV reveals pigments which fluoresce that appear to be the hand of the artist. There is a small area of light fluorescence around the face of the figure on the left. FRAME Held in an ornate gilt plaster frame with some losses.
