Condition

STRUCTURE The sheet is sound and has been laid down. The edges are very slightly faded, not visible in the current mount. There are one or two isolated specks of staining, including one to the central horizon and one to the snow beneath the Merlin's wing, which appear to have been bleached. Otherwise the work appears to be in generally good condition with strong bright colours throughout. FRAME Held under glass in a gilt plaster frame with a gilt mount; unexamined out of frame.
