Condition

STRUCTURE Original canvas. There are a few tiny minor flecks of paint loss below the figure with the hat in the purple coat in the lower left quadrant. The surface is slightly dirty, but otherwise the work is in generally good overall condition. ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT Ultraviolet light reveals a few flecked retouchings to all but the lower edge. There are one or two additional minor isolated flecks of retouching to the composition. FRAME Held in a painted plaster frame.
