Condition

Illustration is quite accurate. Overall good condition. Chips in places, especially to each edge and to the inner border (few pieces are missing). Painting has been retouched in places as well. High-scale pair of frames of imposing look, quite rare.

Cette paire de cadres remarquables par leurs dimensions et la qualité de leur décor polychrome évoque les relations étroites et influences artistiques mutuelles entre l'Espagne et les Pays-Bas à la fin du XVIIe siècle. Cette influence flamande est largement perceptible dans la composition florale des réserves. Ces cadres peuvent être utilisés tant en hauteur qu'en largeur.
