Catalogue Note
The Greenwoods were one of the great surveying firms of the early nineteenth century. Bankrupted by their ambition and rivalry with the Ordnance Survey, they produced this fine atlas with maps on a uniform scale in an attempt to recover their business using existing survey materials.
