A detailed photographic survey of Mauritius, undertaken by W.B. Butler, a British civil servant, who was Secretary of the Home Affairs and Transport Division of the Association of British Chambers of Commerce. The photographs show the topography of Mauritius, with a focus on farming, agriculture, forestry and industry. The album is divided into various sections, including: Cane cultivation; Factories; Small Planters; Estate Camps; Towns and Villages; [Rivers and Reservoirs]; Hemp Industry; and Tea.
