Large folio (590 x 455mm.), printed contents and 57 (of 59) engraved mapsheets, contemporary body colour, original half roan over boards, lacking maps 1 and 8 (Eastern hemisphere and Scotland), map 6 and map 41 badly torn with loss (Europe and Greece), some marginal staining and soiling, a few maps frayed at edges, some slight offsetting, upper cover detached
