Catalogue Note
A work "of great importance" (Wood). "Bemerkenswert gut sind auch die Bilder von Reuter und Mela, Helsingfors 1883-1893" (Nissen, Schöne Fischbücher, p.31). The striking silver printing of the plates makes this one of the most beautifully produced works on fishes.
