First edition, folio (484 x 318mm.), hand-coloured lithographed pictorial additional title, and 12 hand-coloured lithographed plates after Deschamps, all printed on thick paper, original prospectus (252 x 172mm.) bound before title with contemporary manuscript notes in ink of extracts of reviews of this work on the verso, contemporary black morocco-backed green cloth boards, upper cover with large gilt stamp of an elephant, [Abbey, Travel 414 (without Prospectus)], strengthening and restoration throughout due to damp and tears, lithographed title and plates browned and stained, spotting to text, spine and corners somewhat worn
