Square 8vo (212 x 161 mm.), first edition, numerous text illustrations (some full-page) by Daniel Carter Beard, 2-page publisher's advertisement at end, with half-title, without ornamental "s" on p.59, publisher's pictorial olive green cloth stamped in blue, black and gilt, spine gilt, pale green floral endpapers, collector's green cloth chemise in green morocco-backed slipcase, top edge slightly browned, minimal wear to spine ends, tiny split to cloth of lower joint at head of spine.
