Document on vellum with initialed letter portrait of George III and wide decorative borders in a fine calligraphic hand (22 x 28 1/4 in.; 555 x 831 mm), Westminster, 24 February 1792, appointing George Marquess Townshend Lieutenant in the county of Norfolk and of the city of Norwich; large red wax seal  completely intact (5 1/2 in.; 143 mm) in diameter; with metal canister for wax seal. Document matted, glazed, and framed.
