Autograph document signed ("Wm Floyd"), on a slip of paper (3 x 8 7/8 in.; 70 x 227 mm), Philadelphia, 6 January 1776, acknowledging receipt of $400 from Col. Brasher and Thomas Palmer due to Floyd from New York; left margin guarded, one fold strengthened, inscription on verso (presumably by Palmer) truncated. — Autograph document signed in the text (Mr. William Floyd") and signed by Samuel Ells, one page (7 1/4 x 89 in.; 187 x 205 mm), Middletown, [New York], 29 August 1782, being a receipt for £145 from Floyd for the procurement of clothing; inlaid, browned, one small repair, ink oxidation to one word struck from the text. Blue linen folding case, blue morocco spine lettered gilt; spine faded to teal.
