Catalogue Note
'Mr. Harry Kernoff, R.H.A., has probably a quicker eye for the pictorial possibilities of the things he sees than almost any other of our artists. Cabs and cranes - steel cranes - groups of islands and ranges of mountains, scattered cottages in Connemara, and rows of ribbon-built houses near Dublin, peasant types and city types, whatever the subject it seems to turn into a characteristic work in almost as little time as it takes to say Jack Robinson or Harry Kernoff!'
