A Vincennes/Sèvres bulb pot and stand 1755-56

vase hollandois of the second size, painted by Dodin, en camaïeu bleu with flesh tones, with a little boy seated in a wood leaning on his gun, the reverse with a landscape vignette, the sides with hunting trophies, the base with symbols of love, namely a bow and a quiver of arrows among clouds, roses and birds in flight, all richly gilded in rococo style

There is a very shallow chip in the centre of the vase base which inserts into the base. To the rear of the vase, at the far corner, ther is a small chip to the gilded rim, 3mm wide. There is some wear to the fine gilded line around the interior rim of the base section. There is also a firing crack through this to the pierced hole at one side and an associated fine crack, approximately 1cm long. On the same sie, there is a shallow chip to the gilded footrim, approximately 7mm. long. Under the base there is a short firing crack which has slightly extended for about 1cm.
