Condition
The colours are much brighter than indicated in the printed catalogue.
Original canvas.
There is some very minor paint separation to the yellow pigment lower right. The surface has recently been cleaned. Generally the work is in excellent original condition with areas of strong impasto.
Ultraviolet light reveals one or two spots of fluorescence in the corners, which appear to correspond to the artist painting over pinholes.
Held in a metallic plaster frame with a canvas inset.
