Condition
The work has been cast in two parts. Dirt has gathered in some of the crevices but the sculpture is in good overall condition.

Catalogue Note
While in his book on Underwood Ben Whitworth dates Water-Rhythm to circa 1952, he acknowledges that Underwood went on casting versions of the piece into the 1960s, which accounts for the date of the present work.
