Condition
The sheet has not been laid down but is adhered to the artist's board in the corners. The surface undulates slightly, notably in the bottom left quadrant.
There are a few minor spots of foxing in the upper quadrants and a very small area of lifting paint near the lower edge where the woman is kneeling. Otherwise the work appears in good original condition.
Contained in a gilt plaster frame with a canvas inset under glass.
