The rectangular case composed of pink and yellow basketweave gold, gross weight 105 dwts., measuring approximately 3¾ by 3 by ¾ inches, signed Flato, engraved 'Cole Porter, Hi-Jacked from uncle Howard, March 26, 1939'.

Condition

Gentle scratching and some slight discoloration to the gold in places, but in good condition.

Catalogue Note

This case, to which Mr. Porter took a fancy, originally belonged to Howard Sturges, his close friend.
