Condition

Original linen ground embroidered with silk shrubs with some metal embellishments--although all metal thread may possibly be later; the ground surface later covered with metal embroidery stitched to a cotton backing, most like to stabilize the piece. Outlines all stitched down in ivory silk. Losses to metal thread and some minor pulls, embroidery mostly intact. Sides and ends sewn with metal thread to a silk surround that has a metal ribbon sewn around the edge, now coming loose in areas.
