the two-handled circular body with carved friezes of scrolls, flowers and fruits within beaded borders, the domed lid similarly decorated with armorial finial and with inscription in Russian 'When someone approaches your house with evil intentions you should repel them with care', French 1st standard (.950) mark, Russian import marks for 91 standard

Condition

In excellent condition, with very minor surface nicks and scratches consistent with age. Very good weight.
