The maker with Cyrillic initials 'A.E.', unrecorded by Postnikova-Loseva, is mentioned in 1912 as the owner of a workshop producing gold and silver objects; see A. N. Ivanov, Masters of Gold and Silver Crafts in Russia 1600-1926, Russian National Museum, Moscow, 2002.
