- length: 22cm, 8 3/4 in.
the tapering gold guards with gothic terminals and applied overall with turquoise beads interspersed with seed pearls within gold borders, the conforming ivory sticks finely pierced with tracery, diaper pattern and formal foliate motifs, apparently unmarked, in original leather retailer's case, the base with label for 'S. Jahn, ci-devant A. Roempler/ Magasin de Joaillerie et Bijouterie/ à St. Petersbourg', the silk lining affixed with paper inventory label inscribed 'N. 2126. M.'

Condition
Excellent condition, apart from one loss to the ivory at the top of one stick; minor discolouration to the ivory. Very finely carved. The case with time wear.
