of upright rounded rectangular form, the surface of translucent peach enamel over striped wavy engine-turning within opaque white borders, the front applied with an oval plaque painted after Boucher with an amorous shepherding couple in a ribbon-tied rose-cut diamond-set frame hung from floral swags, the lid and thumbpiece set with larger brilliant-cut diamonds, the lid and base with green and white entrelac borders, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic, 56 standard, scratched inventory number 4047
Condition
There are areas of discreet restoration to the enamel of the base and the top of the lid; these surfaces have been lacquered. There are tiny restorations to the entrelac borders. The overall appearance is excellent, the chasing crisp.
