Description

  • Silver, amethysts, emerald
  • length: 31.7cm, 12 1/2 in.
the oval bowl and hook prow cast with a rim border of trailing flower buds set with amethyst and chrysoprase cabochons, the bold angled handle terminating in a scroll and enclosing a firebird, its eyes and plumes set with further gems, flared foot, struck K.Fabergé in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial Warrant, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 19(?) 280, London import marks for 1904 

Condition

Excellent condition, good weight and impressive. At one side of the handle, the firebird's plumes are lacking two of the three original chrysoprase cabochons. The rim border is lacking on amethyst cabochon.
