Condition
The canvas has been lined. There is a layer of surface dirt. There are lines of craquelure throughout and a few flecks of paint loss, including a minor area of paint loss in the lower right corner above the signature and a small area of paint loss in the sky near the upper edge on the left. UV light reveals sweeping retouching in the upper half of the picture and a few concentrated areas of retouching in the lower half including an L-shaped repair in the lower left quadrant. Held in a gold painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
