- the reverse titled Porte-anseigne et Tambour du Rt. de la Garde de Moscou, dated 1828, and with blue Imperial cypher of Nicholas I

the cavetto painted with a standing Drummer and Flag-Bearer of the Moscow Life-Guards Regiment holding the Regimental Banner introduced in 1813, with members of another regiment visible in the background, the border in tooled matte and burnished gold with double-headed eagles representing the State coat-of-arms of the period of Nicholas I alternating with military trophies comprising an officer's regimental shako with crossed sabers set against a laurel branch.
