Description

of temple form, the rectangular case centered by a pair of foliate carved pierced doors beneath an arched foliate-carved cresting; the domed top centered by a foliate-carved knop, the underside carved and centered by an oval medallion.  Together with a stained wood and metal birdcage and a Victorian pine birdcage.  3 pieces.

Condition

The first in overall fair condition; some small losses to gilding and painted surfaces with some areas of inpainting; the left door detached from its hinge; three bars to the left side lacking and two broken; overall with small chips and losses to decoration and slightly dirty. The second height 26 in.; width 19 1/4 in.; depth 10 in. (66 cm; 48.9 cm; 25.4 cm); Overall good condition; some minor surface scratches and wear; some rusting to metal. The third height 15 in.; width 27 in.; depth 9 1/2 in. (38.1 cm; 68.6 cm; 24.1 cm); Overall fair condition; three broken metal bars; some bending to bars; rusting to bars; some old worm damage to base of case scratches marks and stains.
