in the form of a house, the hinged pitched roof form top centered by a chimney flanked by a pair of dormers to the front and with a single dormer to the back and opening to a compartmentalized tray lifting to reveal a deep well; the whole painted with windows, trees and a male figure at a door looking at a cat in a window all in trompe l'oeil; the other in the form of a house, the hinged pitched roof top centered by a chimney flanked by a pair of dormers and opening to a compartmentalized tray lifting to reveal a deep well, the whole decorated with windows and a door in trompe l'oeil.

Condition
Smaller one: height 5 1/2 in.; width 7 1/4 in.; depth 5 1/4 in. (14 cm; 18.4 cm; 13.3 cm) Overall fair condition; some chips and losses to painted surface, though the painted surface is stable; some rubbing and wear in places and with some minor old worm damage. lock plate lacking; and chips and wear around key hole; overall with some old marks, nicks and scratches and with rubbing and wear.
The larger one in overall good restored condition; the roof appears to have some inpainting; the body with some chips and losses to the painted surface particularly to the front and corners; some old marks, scratches, marks and nicks.
