Description

  • 19.7 cm; 33.7 cm; 26 cm
the rectangular top surmounted by a flower-head carved horn finial above a star burst of alternating ivory and horn panels, the hinged top opening to a coffer, the underside of the top with a hinged door opening to a further compartment.

Condition

Overall good restored condition; one horn panel with two synthetic patches; another horn panel with old break at center and with infilling; some small losses to porcupine quills and with some restorations; some lifting to tip of horn moldings; some minor losses to extremities and to some porcupine quills.
