  • black and white chalk on blue wove paper.  Together with Paul-Jean Flandrin, Vallon à Lacoux (Ain), signed, titled and dated Lacoux aout 1840 Paul Flandrin lower left, black chalk heightened with white on blue wove paper with additions on either side. 2 works.

Condition

The first: In generally good condition aside from surface dirt, paper unevenly faded, surface rubbed, a flattened vertical center crease. Not examined out of frame. The second: In generally good condition aside from 2 vertical additions, one at right and one at left edge, attached to original uneven and occasionally torn edges, 2 hard creases or paper faults in area of signature. Prospective purchasers should consult a paper conservator for a complete report. Not examined out of frame.
