Condition

The first: Loch Lomond: The sheets have been carefully presented. The sheets have been laid down onto japan paper. There is surface dirt and feint staining overall. There is damage to the sheets along the extreme edges which have been carefully restored and stabilised by the japan paper. There may be evidence of previous adhesive substances along the join between the two sheets. The pencil pigments remain strong and clear and all of the above does not hinder enjoyment of the composition as a whole. The second: Studies of Hands and Feet: The sheet has been carefully preserved and presented. The sheet is not laid down but it hinged to the current mount along the upper sheet edge. There is surface and slight staining to the sheet overall. There are minor feint foxmarks voerall and perhaps very minor scuffing only visible on very close inspection. The pencil pigments remain strong and clear.
