Condition
Cylindrical jar and cover: The cover is in good condition. The jar has several very small glaze chips to the rim and an 1/8 in. restored rim chip, which appears slightly yellow. There is a 1/4 in. restored chip to the edge of the foot, which is also yellow. Ewer: There is some minor fritting to the rim. There is also fritting to the terminal of the handle. The handle has been broken off with breaks through the center of the handle at the top and just above where it joins the body and has cleanly put back together. There is also a drilled hole adjacent to the upper repair probably related to a previous metal mount. There is a circular glaze flaw to the body on one side in the band of scroll work. Two handle jar and cover: The cover has a piece broken out of one side approximately 4 in. long and 1 in. deep, which has been cleanly restored back together with a museum type repair. On the jar, there is a small chip to the molded mask of the thumb piece of the handle. Otherwise, in good condition.
