Of navette shape, the sides applied with bands of pierced lobes, the hinged cover mounted with a bust of William Wallace and a crest within running thistle borders, the rim engraved A Fragment of the Oak, which the Torwood has often Sheltered that HERO and Saviour of his Country, Sir WILLIAM WALLACE of ELDERSLEE" and "IREDD YE TO TAK CARE O'SKAITH NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSET, apparently unmarked.
