Catalogue Note
According to Gorham's records as reproduced by Larry Pristo in Martelé Gorham's Nouveau Art Silver, p.329, Bowl H/OA is listed as being completed in 1905-- although no costing dates are known for the piece, the 'Cost of Making' ledger indicates a date of 27 April 1905. C. Uhde made the piece in fifteen hours. The chasing was executed by an unidentified craftsman and was accomplished in thirty-one hours. The net factory cost was $63.00.
