of octagonal flower form, the surface etched with a garland of spreading peonies surrounded a contemporary monogram ECH, all within a border of flowerheads and festoons linking embossed leaves decorated in mokume with gold and black, silver and black, copper and black, and copper and white on eight bracket supports

A few of the mokume panels show rubbing, probably softer alloys; otherwise good condition, subtle design and coloring
