Two etchings, 1853-54, each the fourth state (of eight), the first on fibrous laid green paper, the second on laid paper with the watermark Hudelist, framed (2 prints)
Condition
The prints are in good condition, both apart from pale light-stain. Additional imperfections as follows:
Le Styrge- the green paper tone attenuated, a mottled fox mark at upper right margin, the sheet edges discolored recto from remains of adhesive verso. The sheet softly rippled in lower margin, the verso with pale mat stain and scattered reverse foxing.
Abside- Mottled foxing in the image at lower right and upper left. The margins with a few additional scattered fox marks and areas of surface soiling. The verso upper sheet edge skinned and with remains of adhesive, a tiny paper loss at upper right.
