- Italian School
- A Group of portrait miniatures of the Ducal House of Parma and Piacenza
three watercolour and bodycolour on ivory, one oil on copper, variously framed
including portraits of Ferdinand, Duke of Parma and Piacenza (1751-1802); Louis, King of Eturia, later Duke of Parma and Piacenza (1773-1803); Philip, Duke of Parma and Piacenza (1720-1765); and Charles III, Duke of Parma and Piacenza (1823-1854)
Condition
Ferdinand, Duke of Parma and Piacenza: The miniature is in good condition. There is occassional very minor paint loss.
Louis, King of Eturia, later Duke of Parma and Piacenza: The miniature is in good condition. The colours have faded very slightly.
Philip, Duke of Parma and Piacenza: The miniature is in good condition. There is minor condensation on the glass.
Charles III, Duke of Parma and Piacenza: The miniature is in excellent condition. The colours are strong and bold.
